The "9 word email" campaign is designed to revive dead leads. The idea is to send an email like you just ran into them (in person), at Starbucks, and you’re asking them a question, expecting a response.
Step 1: The first step for creating your campaign is sorting your contacts into categories The reason for this, is to create specific messaging for the different “Buckets” of leads you have. (Leads that did not convert, Consultations that did not convert etc.) You will take the names and email addressed from these different buckets and create individual email lists in Excel.
How to export and categorize leads:
Note: You must an email marketing platform like constant contact or mail chimp to run this campaign. Do NOT send from your personal Tutor Doctor email. This runs the risk of having your email address domain being flagged as spam.
In the slide presentation, it will cover a few examples of the “9 word email” as well as the brief methodology behind it. Feel free to look at many other articles online regarding the “9 word email”
Step 3: Create your 9 word email campaign with a question that will be enticing to your community of leads based on the time of year - ex. from Joel Vance in Tennessee, ""[Joel, Quick Question (subject) "Are you still interested in tutoring? We now have POD tutoring!"]
You may want to change the messaging for each “Bucket” of past leads you have. For example, Leads that did not convert, and consultations that did not close.
Once these templates have been created, you can upload your respective email lists and send out to your contacts.
Step 4: After you have launched the campaign, you will want to monitor and track your open rate and response rate over the next 48 hours, in comparison to past lead email campaigns.
Ensure that any positive responses are followed up on ASAP. These cold leads have now become reactivated, and having them become cold again would be a waste.
