Allocation vs. Non-Allocation

Definitions and use

Allocate by Student: split the enrollment between the number of students. The system will allow you to assign Hours, Bonus Hours, Rate, Session Length and Sessions/Week for each student.
Allocate by Subject:  split the enrollment based on the number of subjects the in the enrollment and assign hours to each one. If there are multiple students in the enrollment, the system will allow you to assign Hours, Bonus Hours, Rate, Session Length and Sessions/Week for each individual subject that each student is enrolled for. 
No Allocation: assign Hours, Bonus Hours, Rate, Session Length and Sessions/Week for the entire enrollment.

Examples of when to use

Allocate by Student: More than 1 student in the family using package of hours – allocate hours to each student
Allocate by Subject:
  1. Homeschool enrollment – cast different tutors for different subjects and ensure that each subject's tutor only uses hours allocated to their particular subject
  2. Student taking regular subject tutoring and test prep – can apply different hourly rates
