BANG Lead Source Tracking Improvements

We have chosen to improve these features for the following reasons: -

  1. Standardized lead source naming is foundational to expanding the ability to generate business insights 

  2. Standardization and automation will reduce manual work for franchisees freeing up more time for higher-value tasks 

  3. Increased precision in attribution will help franchisees make better decisions on marketing spend


A note on data migration: all the following changes require data to be updated and migrated to the new structure. We have completed that work and the franchise location does not need to do anything to update old lead/client data.

  1. Changes in Lead Source Naming and Categorization 


We have added a level of lead categorization to improve clarity and relevance of information


The earlier levels of categorization were: 

  • Lead Source

  • Campaign 


Currently, these levels of categorization are added to BANG:

  • Channel – Is the new level added

  • Lead Source 

  • Campaign 


How to use the new categories:




Step 1: Select a Channel. The options are Digital, Signage, Community, Print, Referral and Other.


Step 2: Select a Lead Source. Once you select you will see the options available under the lead source that corresponds with the channel. 


Step 3: Select a Campaign. Please note you will need to create a Campaign before being able to select the campaign in this section.

Notes:

  • Channel and Lead Source options are mandatory fields. You can choose a different option from the menu but cannot create new ones. 

  • Campaign will have some fixed options – Coming Soon



2.  ‘Lead Received’ is now renamed to ‘Lead Type’


We have renamed this field for clarity and also updated the categories to make them more relevant to our current use. The past categories were more aligned with the Care Centre use which is no longer operational. 


The table below shows the previous options along with the new options. We have gone ahead and migrated from previous option to new option that you will see in the table below, for example, ‘1800’ will become ‘Call’. 


Incoming leads will be set to the corresponding “type” automatically when integrated.




3.  Updated the “Add a Campaign” with the Chanel along with Lead Source Levels


We have also gone ahead and added the channel along with the lead source before you add the campaign details. This will help you streamline your campaigns and help you determine the true lead source.
