The following are some of the business partnerships the Launch Support Team have helped to create on their site visits with franchisees. The details of the partnership and benefits that apply to each party are outlined below.

Local Karate Studio (in Provo)

This Karate studio did their own version of a “consultation”. The manager was very supportive of the Tutor Doctor goal. Many of the children who come to his studio are looking for tutoring and academic support. Because he works with them long term and builds relationships with the families, he was willing to recommend us to them, along with leaving fliers behind and handing them out outside via a table set up once a month or so.

Camp Bow Wow

Handing out Tutor Doctor doggy bandana’s for dogs to wear as promotional material. Additionally, we were able to leave fliers behind and add a “get 20% off your first tutoring package” on the weekly promo material that goes out to the families/individuals that take their dogs to the day care.

PomPoms (Mother Daughter Salon)

Weekly tabling to hand out fliers and be a recommended tutoring service for the mothers and daughters who come in to the facility.

The business would receive $50 for any enrollments made from leads through their salon. Also, salon gift certificates were raffled off as prizes at the table

Bounce U (kids bouncy castle play place)

(free?) Tabling during birthday parties with the prize wheel.

We purchased a few $7 discount coupons for raffle prize from the business.

Orange Theory Fitness

Tabling on Saturdays during high foot traffic.

We shared their Facebook post on our local Facebook page and placed their flyers in our welcome packages.

Bowling Alley (Lane Trains and Automobiles)

Tabling on weekends and during birthday parties.

Golds Gym

Free tabling and distributing water bottles with TD labels during peak evening hours on weekdays and as often as we want.

Gold’s Gym is being looked at as a supporter of education in the community

Ultimate Trampoline Park

Tabling on busy days and during birthday parties.

We raffled off a few of their day passes

School of Rock (music school)

We gave out their promo flyers in our welcome packages and they did the same in their welcome packages.

YMCA Chicago

Free tabling during their busiest weeknight of swimming classes, for anytime we liked. They also shared a photo of us on their local Facebook page to get people excited about us coming out.

*We attribute this success to the fact that we were able to explain how their organization was aligned with our values of helping kids and families and making a difference in the community.

Participate in their Spring festival which 3 of their locations partner up to put on

Obtaining a local vendor in the community which they needed

Indoor Soccer Centre

Had our ad displayed on their parent waiting area TV and the opportunity to set up a pop up on any weekday evening (their busiest time)

 Due to the demand of their families for tutoring didn’t ask for anything in return

LA Fitness in Florida

We walked in and asked to speak with a manager about possible open houses or events we can partake in at the gym. Our goal was to let parents and members of the gym know about our services. Luckily, we were able to sit down with their VP of Operations for the whole state and talked about the tutoring we do and what the gym would gain from working with us.

We offered to provide members of the gym 2 free tutoring hours coupons which could be included in member mailers and welcome packages. The VP loved this and offered to spread it statewide if the interest was high.

Anytime Fitness

In more than one location, we walked in and asked to speak with a manager. We let them know that many of our locations have offered deals to Anytime Fitness members and that we can offer deals specific to their location. The managers sent out direct mails to members notifying them of this deal.

We offered our families a 1-week trial with that location which potentially turned into memberships for the gym. Some location managers didn’t even ask for anything in return and said they will email out any flyers we want to the members.

Local Dry Cleaner

Gave away THANK YOU bookmarks that give two free tutoring hours to each dry cleaner’s clients. When picking up their clothes, the client will see a Tutor Doctor bookmark attached to their garment bag.

*TIP: target more affluent areas and add a tracking number to these bookmarks, print 500-1000 quantities for results.

The dry cleaner was excited to give away these thank-you bookmarks to their clients during the Christmas season as a gift.
