Clearing Cache From Firefox

The Firefox cache temporarily stores images, scripts, and other parts of websites while you are browsing. This article describes how to clear the cache.

Clear cache

  1. At the top of the Firefox window, click on the Firefox button and then select Options

  2. Select the Advanced panel.

  3. Click on the Network tab.

  4. In the Cached Web Content section, click Clear Now.

Also clear cache from recent history

You can set Firefox to automatically clear the cache when Firefox closes:

  1. At the top of the Firefox window, click on the Firefox button and then select Options

  2. Select the Privacy panel.

  3. Click on the “ Clear your recent history”




4.    Clear Recent History window will pop up. Click the Arrow Button beside Details to pull up the list of temporary data to be removed from the browser.


  1. Select the Cache or other temporary data from the list and click the Clear Now Button.

  2. Click OK to close the Settings for Clearing History window.

  3. Click OK to close the Options window
