Customizing your email templates

Accessing your email templates

To access your email templates hover over Activities and click Email Templates. This brings you to the list of all email templates. In the left-hand menu, you also have the option to see the templates sorted by function such as Team Member Added, Consultation, Job Cast & Tutor Matching and Enrollment. 



In the list of EMAIL TEMPLATES, the description column will give you a quick overview of what each template is used for.



Customizing an email template

  1. To customize an email template, click on the name, for example Email Statement.

     

  2. Click Duplicate. This will duplicate the original email template from the system, and allow you to make edits. 


  3. Name, From, Bcc, Description and Subject are all editable fields.

Note: This duplicate email is linked to an automatic email trigger. For a description of all automatic emails and their triggers, see the BANG Email Summary article



  1. The Body of the email is also editable. The text shown after the $ symbol indicate data points being pulled from the system. 



  2. If you have an attachment you would like to send along with this type of email, you can add it by clicking Choose File

  3. You can also add documents if you have set them up in the Documents page in the system by clicking DOCUMENTS.

  4. When you are done customizing your template, click Save. 

    • When you click on All Email Templates you can see that your edited version of the email template has replaced the default version. If you need to make more edits, click the pencil icon.

Keep in mind, that when you trigger an email template in the system, you will have the opportunity to edit it once again before sending it.
