Tutor Doctor Domain Policy

1. PURPOSE

1.1 This policy will outline the terms and conditions applicable to the Tutor Doctor Domain Name registry process.

1.2 The Tutor Doctor Domain Name registry process registers Tutor Doctor Corporate approved domain names centrally by using naming formulas that are Tutor Doctor-branded and developed to increase your online credibility and searchability. The following outlines the rules and regulations of the Tutor Doctor Domain Name registry program.

2. FRANCHISEE GUIDELINES

2.1 The Franchise Domain Name Registration Guidelines:

(a) All domain names are subject to Tutor Doctor Corporate (“Corporate”) approval. Once approved, the franchisee's name will be registered by Tutor Doctor Corporate and used as the domain name of the franchisee's website. Tutor Doctor Domain names are strictly based on Google Best Practices and the area franchisee own.

(b) Franchisees are prohibited from registering their own Tutor Doctor branded domain names for their franchisee websites. If a franchisee registers a domain name for a non-approved site the domain cannot contain Tutor Doctor in the name. If a franchisee has registered a Tutor Doctor branded domain name they must transfer the ownership of the domain to Tutor Doctor Corporate. Costs of domain registration will not be reimbursed.

(c) Franchisees are responsible for the cost of the domain name registration. Before registration, Tutor Doctor Corporate will inform the franchisee of the cost of the domain. Once confirmation to proceed is received from the franchisee, Tutor Doctor Corporate will register the domain and have the franchisees account invoiced.

(d) Upon domain name renewal, Tutor Doctor Corporate will confirm with the franchisee their desire to renew along with associated fees and upon renewal, the franchisees account will be invoiced.

(e) Co‐branding your registered company name with the Tutor Doctor brand is not permitted under any circumstance, including your domain name as this dilutes the Tutor Doctor brand and causes brand confusion. Co-branded domains will not be approved.

(f) Once a domain name is taken in one extension this domain name is no longer available under any other extension.

(g) Hyphenated domains will not be approved if the domain already exists without the hyphen.

(h) Domain registration is not required for franchisees in the USA, Canada, UK and Australia. All local websites for these are on the national domain i.e tutordoctor.com, tutordoctor.co.uk and tutordoctor.com.au. The local franchisee’s website will be an extension of the national domain. For example: All franchisee websites in North America will have a domain structure as tutordoctor.com/location. Location names for the domain will be decided by Tutor Doctor Corporate. It will be strictly based on the territory franchisee owns and Google Best Practices.
