Have any questions about renewal? Please feel free to email our renewal team at renewals@tutordoctor.com.
Our current renewal process is as follows: our renewals team will be reaching out to Franchisees up for renewal by letting them know when their Franchise Agreement will expire, who to contact if you have any questions and the next steps in the renewal process. Depending on which country you reside in, you might be required to sign a Franchise Disclosure Document (“FDD”) or you might simply need to sign a renewal Franchise Agreement with certain renewal documents.
We will reach out via email (or call if necessary) to Franchisees up for renewal up to 3 years before their anticipated renewal to give them more information. There is no need to worry if you have not yet been contacted as our renewals team are working on reaching out to Franchisees who up for renewal with those expiring first in priority sequence.
Renewals@tutordoctor.com. We can always set up a call (if necessary).
Franchisees that are compliant under their Franchise Agreement will be invited to renew early. Those that are not compliant will need to take active steps before renewal is a possibility.
What is most important is that you think about renewal before your Franchise Agreement is up for renewal. Once you have decided that you would like to renew, you can let our renewals team know if you want to renew one or all of your Franchise Agreements at the same time to avoid going through the renewal process again. Another important facet is being in communication with our renewals team (especially if you have any important updates or questions for us). The majority of Franchise Agreements point to the requirement on the Franchisee to notify us within at least 60 days before their Franchise Agreement expires of their intention to renew or not. Please refer to your Franchise Agreement for further information regarding renewals. In countries with an FDD, you will need to be disclosed, wait for the disclosure period to pass (15 days); after which, you are able to sign the Franchise Agreement effectively renewing your franchise agreement.
Every Franchisee upon renewal will need to sign a new Franchise Agreement.
Yes, we will provide a copy of the final Franchise Agreement documents before signing. Please note that if you must sign an FDD, a copy of the Franchise Agreement will be contained therein.
Yes, depending on your Franchise Agreement, you will get a new renewal term.
There is a renewal fee that varies between Franchise Agreements. For Franchisees that participate in our current early renewal incentive program, they will benefit from a waived renewal fee. By early renewal, we are referring to Franchisees that renew their Franchise Agreement up to 3 years before their Franchise Agreement expires.
Those that have completed training will not have to attend training again.
Franchisees do not have to pay a new initial franchise fee, training fees or renewal fees (if renewing early).
This will depend on which country you reside in. The following are some examples of countries that require you to be redisclosed with our current FDD: Canada, United States of America, Australia and South Africa.
Please let us know if you are in resale with a prospective buyer and we will work with you on this point. In most cases, you will have the time required to complete your resale.
