Star Student of the Month Campaign Guide

Star Student of the Month Campaign Guide

Running the Star Student of the Month campaign is a great way to engage with parents, help with branding, and celebrate the successes of your students! Parents love seeing their children celebrated for their achievements and will be more than happy to share your Facebook post with their own networks. This is powerful, as it acts as an informal recommendation.

How to Run the Campaign

Step 1

Ask your tutors to nominate a student through a Google form. Ask them to explain why they are nominating the student (what was their achievement).
Not sure how to set up a Google Form? Click here to find out.

Step 2

Choose a student based on the nominations that have come in from tutors.
Top Tip: If your tutors are not nominating their students, simply choose a student yourself based on what you’ve read in session reports!

Step 3

Contact the student’s parents to congratulate them. Make sure you explain the accomplishment of the student & how proud you and their tutor are of the student. Also be sure to ask for photo of the student and written permission to post this publicly on social media. You can download the Video & Photo Release form here >>

Step 4

Create your Star Student of the Month image using this PowerPoint template. Scroll down to see how to use the PowerPoint Template.

Step 5

Post this graphic on your Facebook Page with text congratulating the student on their achievement.
Top Tip: Use the testimonial that your tutor provided about why they nominated the student. You can also include a testimonial from the parent.

Step 6

Send the student a certificate (North American version HERE, UK version HERE). It’s also a nice idea to give the student a gift card.

How to Use the PowerPoint Template:

  1. Open the PowerPoint template.
  2. From the top menu, select "Insert – Photo" and browse to select and place the photo of the Student over the template graphic.
  3. Make sure the image of the Student is selected and choose "Arrange – Send to Back" from the top menu (same menu options can be selected by right-clicking on the photo of the Student).
  4. Adjust the photo of the Student by scaling, rotating and moving it to fit the graphic of the frame.
  5. Once you are happy with the look of your graphic, select "File – Save As…" from the top menu.
  6. Click to select from the "Format" drop-down menu and choose the "JPEG" option.
  7. Click on the "Options" button and set both the Width and Height dimensions (at the bottom of the pop-up window) at 1000. Click "OK".
