Where & How to Find Local Content to Post on Facebook Page
Local content is really important for your Facebook Page to showcase being present in your communities! Here are some tips of where and how to find local content:
- Share news and events from local schools.
- Like other franchisees’ Facebook Pages.
- Look for content from local news or publications about stories on education and students.
- Posts that involve visuals get the most engagement – i.e. photos from local events you’ve attended, your car, out in the community etc.
- Important to note, photos in posts with actual people in them get even more engagement.
- Post about events you will be attending.
- Contests/prize draws with freebies get a lot of engagement, which in turn helps increase your Page Likes and engagement on other posts.
- Showcase giving back to the community – any donations you’ve made, or participation in volunteer work.
- Update families about any changes in local education – you become a resource for parents and families.
- Add some appropriate humor to your posts. Occasionally you can add a little humor as a ‘lighter’ post.
- Highlight stories about your students and tutors – Star Student of the Month & Tutor of the Month are great for this.
- See what your competitors are doing & look for relevant content - go to your ‘Insights’ tab, click on ‘Posts’ and then you can see ‘Pages to Watch’. You can add a variety of pages to see what types of content they are posting etc.
Like pages as your personal profile – this way you can see content showing up in your personal news feed and ‘save’ it. To save a post, simply click on the 3 dots and then ‘Save Link’.
- Set up certain Pages’ updates to appear at the top of your personal news feed. Do this by going to the Page on desktop, click on the Following button and then click on See first.
