Community Marketing: Leafleting/Flyering

The distribution of leaflets/flyers can take several forms, a number of which are outlined below. All formats listed below must be included in your leafleting program and are equally valuable to your lead generation. Leafleting when done correctly can be a significant lead generator with a minimal F1 cost per lead. Delivering flyers as part of a comprehensive marketing program will achieve the following results:
  1. Direct leads generated
  2. Your brand becoming well-known in the community
  3. Your PPC campaign will be supported by your offline messaging
  4. You will be seen as a ‘local’ provider of quality one-to-one tutoring
  5. Influence people’s future purchasing decisions

The following types of leaflet distribution must be included in your marketing activity:
  1. Residential Leafleting: Distribution of print collateral to residential homes as per the Flyer Distribution Guidelines & Strategy
  2. School Leafleting: Distribution of print collateral to parents/children at school gates (usually during drop off/pick up periods). Notable benefit is being able to talk to your target market
  3. Book bag / Backpack Leafleting: Distribution of print collateral via (usually Primary/Junior School) book bags / backpacks
  4. High Footfall Leafleting: Distribution of print collateral in high footfall locations such as Shopping Malls, Sports Centers, High Streets, etc.
  5. Parking Lot Leafleting: Distribution of print collateral on car windshields at train stations, schools, super markets, sports centers, etc.

Key Points
  1. Whatever print collateral you use, it is intended to be given out like candy! Give it to EVERYONE and don’t focus on the few cents the flyer costs, but the few thousand dollars it could earn you!
  2. A smile, a friendly chat AND a flyer, is worth infinitely more than just handing someone a flyer.
