Step 5: Posting in Community Groups

Step 5: Posting in Community Groups

The first thing you want to be sure of prior to posting in any community group is what are you allowed to post? It is common for groups to set specific days/threads where businesses are allowed to post promotional posts to the group. This is put in pace to avoid having groups overrun by businesses promoting their businesses. Don't be alarmed by this! One of the greatest things about the business you run is that we are in the business of helping students. This puts you in the perfect position to be an education resource within your local communities. The types of posts that will not get flagged as promotional materials are:
  1. Blog Posts
  2. Infographics
  3. Education Resources
  4. Articles
  5. Photos from within your community
Not all of your posts have to be provided by Tutor Doctor - we have a ton of great posts that you can use coming through your Rallio page, from the resource library and via our TD blog but you can share anything that may provide value to your community members!

Is is also very important that you plan your content. Establish a cadence - create your post schedule and create your posts a week, month prior based on what is going on in your local community. You can utilize Rallio to ensure local content is being posted to your personal and business pages. Check out this helpful idea from Kimberly Rohr regarding a concept called BreadCrumbing which you can use to determine what types of posts you want to share within your local community groups.
